About the project

ABB Information Systems (IS) delivery team for HSE and Sustainability domain is looking for IS Service Manager to work with key global applications for ABB. In that role, person will be part of the team responsible for delivering and supporting global applications for Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Sustainability, taking end to end responsibility for the application from both operational (support, maintenance) and development perspective, having significant contribution into the current and future Services deliv-ered to the business. It is a great opportunity to participate in shaping complex envi-ronment of advanced corporate systems, cooperating with experts from all over the world in tackling challenges and driving opportunities.

Your responsibilities

  • The Service Owner is responsible to design, implement and maintain the framework to deliver the services in scope in time, budget and in line with the customer's expectations

  • Is responsible to implement the service delivery strategy and service delivery plan for assigned service(s)

  • In concert with all relevant stakeholders ensures satisfaction with IS services understanding their strategic and tactical needs, making sure actions are taken to close any gaps, and influencing stakeholder perceptions of the relevant IS services; all within the scope of responsibility

  • Ensures work in the delivery department is compliant with Corporate IS and any other applicable ABB Regulations (internal and external) and ABB Group Guidelines, especially ABB IS Guidelines and Directive, which deal with IS service delivery

  • Is responsible to supports all internal IS and cross-functional processes related to IS service delivery or IS service demand in the relevant service area of responsibility

  • Effectively supports processes that foster service improvement

  • Executes, for assigned tasks, all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACI specification

  • Is responsible to act in compliance with Corporate IS Regulation and IS Policies; with ABB Regulations and ABB Guidelines of which accountability and responsibility for this position are derived; and with any other Internal Control regulations that may be assigned

  • Manages individuals and groups. Allocates responsibilities and/or packages of work, including supervisory responsibilities. Delegates responsibilities as appropriate. Sets performance targets, and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria. Provides effective feedback, throughout the performance management cycle, to ensure optimum performance. Proactively works to ensure effective working relationships within the team and with those whom the team interacts with. Provides support and guidance as required, in line with individuals’ abilities. Advises individuals on career paths, and encourages pro-active development of skills and capabilities

  • Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect reports within HR policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee

Our requirements

  • Master’s Degree in information management, computer systems, busi-ness engineering or similar

  • Fluent spoken and written English

  • Excellent IS development and operations skills and a deep understanding of the overall context of business processes and IS technologies

  • Track records in leading IS vendors

  • Solid communication and people management skills

  • Proven ability to understand the customers/consumers and associated personas requirements

  • Extensive experience in identifying and resolving issues between team members or other teams

  • Excellent experience to figure out business requirements and how to translate into technical IS capabilities and solutions

  • Strong experience in project planning and execution as well as economic aspects of system management and life cycle

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes

  • Knowledge of IS technology

  • Strong in information management, computer systems, business engi-neering or similar
