About the project

The mission of the IS Vendor Management Officer is to establish and execute strong local Vendor Management and maintain Vendor relationships for most relevant local Vendors. Align with GBS IS departments on executing and improving Vendor and Process governance, IS Services and executing Contracts. Engages with local Vendors to establish and maintain a collaborative Vendor relationship to ensure performance results, where Vendors meet their contractual commitments. The IS Vendor Management Officer acts as escalation point for GBS IS departments regarding issues with local Vendors and escalates disputes. The IS Vendor Management Officer is responsible for financial monitoring regarding Vendor contracts (spends, invoice management) and ensures continuous improvement cycles with local Vendors to create value for ABB. The IS Vendor Management Officer supports operational Vendor management (regarding Programs like RAMIO, local IS Sourcing, tender support, signature collection, purchase order creation, contract extensions, data collections & analyses and reporting).

The role will be reporting to: Global IS Department Manager for Vendor Management.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing vendors to meet key performance indicators and agreed targets

  • Monitoring via agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and challenging performance

  • Collecting input from key stakeholders and performance management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and address underperformance and compliance failures, including contract terms to the vendor

  • Validating if vendors performance matches the contract terms and assures that the quality of service deliverables meet contractual commitments

  • Engaging proactively and collaboratively with vendors to resolve unsatisfactory performance

  • Maintaining and negotiating contract changes with support or in collaboration with IS Sourcing

  • Acting as escalation point regarding issues with vendor and resolving or addressing (contractual) disputes

  • Reviewing vendor analysis and assessing effectiveness across the GBS IS organization and managing risks associated with information security, continuity, and performance. Feedback towards vendor

  • Creating an environment in which the organization and its vendors collaborate to their mutual benefit, ensuring positive and effective working relationships are developed and maintained

Our requirements

  • Above 3 years of relevant vendor management experience needed

  • Comprehensive IT understanding

  • Contract management, IT financial management (procurement, invoice handling, spends analyses)

  • Vendor Management & Governance / Vendor Relationship Management

  • RfX management (Request for Proposal / Quotation / Information)

  • Collaboration models and performance reporting

  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to command attention and establish credibility
