About the project
The IT Business Analyst Business Insights & Data is responsible for ensuring robust data and analytics solutions and data governance.
As an IT Business Analyst Business Insights and Data you will work closely with the various business teams including Finance, HR, Legal & Compliance, source system SMEs, data platform teams and data science teams to define, model, document and maintain data and analytics solutions and data governance. The right candidate will be a knowledgeable and trusted data analyst with the ability to communicate and influence both business and IT leaders and peers.
Your responsibilities
- Maintain a data and analytics asset register for relevant business domains and ensure data and analytics classifications in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Develop and maintain conceptual and logical business-layer data models across relevant business domains and partner with data engineering teams to design and influence sourcing, extraction and raw-layer architectures.
- Run workshops, interviews and prototyping sessions in order to elicit business requirements for data and analytics solutions and ensure high quality documentation.
- Perform analysis for data and analytics projects using Agile methodology.
- Enable transition of data and analytics service from project to operations.
- Partner with IT internal support organization to monitor data operations and ensure troubleshooting.
- Actively manage resolution of incidents, requests and user escalation for data operations.
- Define and sustain data quality and data catalog processes.
- Be accountable for high quality IT data operations support and act as primary point of contact for stakeholders.
- Ensure metrics linked to data and analytics required to conduct business service reviews.
- Communicate and partner with IT and business teams across the organization.
- Identify new business opportunities that maximizes value from data and analytics.
Our requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably Master’s, in Business, Finance, Computer Science, IT Technology or related IT field.
- Min. 2 years of experience as an IT business analyst and/or data analyst.
- Data enthusiast with demonstrated understanding of data models, data catalog, data operations, data security and data management within a complex data analytics environment.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), collaboration, analytical and presentation skills with ability to interact with a diverse set of stakeholders and interpret and communicate complex information.
- Demonstrable SQL skills to query data sets.
- Demonstrable experience delivering solutions on a range of technologies including AWS, SAP, Tableau, Jira, Confluence or any equivalents.
- Previous experiences in IT support for one of the following business domains: Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance e.g. understanding the functional processes, system knowledge and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of high-quality deliverables.
- Agility to learn new Ways of Working, new technologies and new processes.
- Ability to operate in a global matrix organization with team members in different locations.
- Ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
