About the project

IT Business Analyst – Manufacturing & EHS Applications role is a part of the Enterprise Applications Services team. On this position you will work in a lean team environment to recommend and deliver technology enabling business processes in the area of SAP Plant Maintenance and a number of enterprise and mill applications. These applications are vital to support mill operations in manufacturing, environmental, health and safety. We use both in-house developed and 3rd Party applications.

Your responsibilities

  • Efficiently analyze tasks and interdependencies, lead and facilitate design discussions, effectively present information using specific software tools and translate business partner requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization

  • Analyze complex user information flows and business requirements to determine alternative procedural and/or systematic solutions to meet business requirements

  • Lead process improvement initiatives, conduct functional design and realization for manufacturing and delivery applications, perform process mapping and provide ongoing support while leading and participating in process assessments

  • Recognize and highlight potential concerns and risks, address challenging issues through efficient problem-solving and address challenges related to collaborating with third-party vendor packages and in house/custom applications

  • Undertake medium to large-scale functional/technical assignments

  • Perform IT acceptance testing for configuration and development changes in a highly integrated environment following established methodologies ad tools and produce regular reports on the outcomes

  • Provide support during go-live and after-hours projects as required

  • Engage in SAP Plan Maintenance configuration, serve as subject matter expert for business applications, systems and specific technologies

  • Actively pursue opportunities to enhance IT solutions and service capabilities, adding value to the organization

  • Collaborate with a Managed Service Partner and other Information Technology, business and contract resources, conduct expert knowledge sessions and leverage the expertise of IT professionals with strong production planning, paper manufacturing, SAP/MES functional knowledge, SAP/MES technical development and project management skills

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT (or related area)

  • Minimum 7 years business and IT experience, including basic knowledge of IIS web services, Windows OS, SSRS (SQL Reporting Services), MS Office

  • Proficiency in Supply Chain Operating Model design and enabling technology

  • Understanding of waterfall and agile methodologies

  • Analytical skills with expertise in data visualization using tools like Power BI or Tableau

  • Configuration skills in 3rd party applications such as SAP, Aveva PI, GE Plant Applications and crystal report writing

  • Knowledge of manufacturing mills, manufacturing and delivery processes along with business intelligence, governance, risk, compliance and software testing skills

  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering IT-enabled projects

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and work independently with little supervision
