    (IT COO) Programme Management Office (PMO) Analyst

    The Programme Management Office (PMO) Analyst role will be located within the RBWM Portfolio & Programme Management (PPM) Team as part of the RBWM COO function.  The role has a global dimension with a focus purely on RBWM’s significant Change The Bank (CTB) portfolio.  The principal accountability of the PMO Analyst role is to support the Central RBWM PPM function in meeting it’s obligation to provide Delivery Assurance and Portfolio Oversight to executive level stakeholders, which includes monitoring, governance and reporting activities.

    The PMO Analyst role would not have any direct reports but may be supported by administration staff and may report to a Portfolio, Programme or Project Manager.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Act as the Gatekeeper of data (except financials) relating to Programmes and Projects that make up the Change The Bank (CTB) portfolio for RBWM Technology.
    • Interface with PPM leads in the Service Lines and Market Delivery Teams to ensure timely and accurate inputs to support the PPM objectives.
    • Produce timely and accurate reports supported by KPIs and KRIs to inform a number of internal Governance forums and initiatives.
    • Record outcomes and minutes of any internal governance meetings (where needed).
    • Escalate any material risks and issues to appropriate stakeholders and management in a timely manner.
    • Conduct proactive analysis of data to highlight any trends.
    • Manage and update documentation, processes and information sources.
    • Support ad-hoc requests for analysis or reporting.
    • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the data.

    Requirements:

    • A strong influencer who challenges the status quo backed with reliable data analysis and trends.
    • Expertise with MS Excel to extract data for analysis from GPDM, Clarity and other HSBC tools.
    • Ability to simplify the publication of data extracts for internal stakeholders by identifying and driving the capability roadmap for improvements.
    • An experienced practitioner who has the acumen to sniff test the data for accuracy and spot anomalies in data prior to publication.
    • Efficient, reliable and meticulous in supporting various governance forums with the distribution of pre-meeting packs as well as documenting outcomes (minutes).
    • Strong analytical background to transform large amounts of data into meaningful recommendations to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
    • Familiarity with a range of Project Management Methodologies – PMBOK, Scrum, Agile (SCRUM/DA/SAFe).
