Your responsibilities
Day to day administration and maintenance of over 2000 databases as part of global team working in follow the sun model
User creation and permissions assignment
DB Backup and Restore
Manage Transaction Logs
Performance troubleshooting
DB Maintenance – indexes, statistics etc.
Deploy SQL Server Updates/Patches
New SQL Servers/Instances deployment
SQL Jobs – create, maintain, troubleshoot
Support of applications working with database in scope
Participation in weekend On Call Duty (approx. once per quarter)
Our requirements
Fluent English
Experience with management and administration of Microsoft SQL Server – installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, HA/DR (mirroring), basic performance tuning
Scripting/Coding – T-SQL, Powershell
Problem solving
Good communications kills
Customer oriented
Optional
Knowledge about other DB solutions:
Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB
Experience with management and
administration of Amazon Cloud – RDS, EC2, S3
Experience with application support
SQL Certification
ITIL Certification
Scrum/DevOps Certification
