Your responsibilities

  • Understanding the basic software requirements of the global Schaeffler MES Solution (Manufacturing Execution System) from technical point of view

  • Day-by-day operating of Windows Server (incl. MS SQL Database)

  • Ensure and continuously improve reliability and availability of MES infrastructure

  • Plan and implement firmware updates/patches in consultation with central IT departments and MES business departments

  • Monitor, analyze and resolve performance issues during patching

  • Understanding and operating of SAP backend interfaces to the systems as well as to machines and underlying control systems

  • Document administrative tasks

  • Support and manage system monitoring together with global MES team (SCOM, PRGT)

  • Incident and problem handling within the Global MES team and the local administrators

  • In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by his supervisor that are essentially related to his duties.

Our requirements

  • Excellence in communication with active networking, Fluent English skills in speech and writing, Social and intercultural sensitivity, Negotiating skills & persuasive powers, Deep knowledge within conflict management / management of complex situations

  • Multi-year service operations experience and project management, Management experience with multi-national teams in matrix organizations, Distinctive adoption of existing IT processes (Inc.Mgmt, Prob.Mgmt, Change Mgmt, IT Demand Mgmt, IT project handling, IT business process knowledge, etc.)

  • Education: Degree in computer science, engineering or economics or comparable knowledge and experience acquired in practice several years of experience as a specialist in IT (consulting, development, or operation).

  • Fluent English skills (verbal and written), intercultural knowledge, good communication skills verbal and written.

  • Experience: Operational administration experience, Project coordination experiences.

  • Special skills: Coordination of troubleshooting processes for complex problems in collaboration with different external vendors and internal interfaces, open-minded, targeted, business thinking, customer- focused, team-player

  • Product / Vendor Skills: Microsoft Windows Server MES Solutions, MS SQL Database, SCOM, SCCM, SAP
