About the project
FinOps is the practice of bringing together Finance, Technology, and Business to master the unit economics of the cloud for business advantage. It is a way of introducing accountability for cloud spend, as well as a cultural practice that delivers financial and operational control.
In the way that DevOps revolutionized product delivery, FinOps is changing how to manage Cloud OpEx. Iterative phases establish baselines, optimize rates and usage patterns and drive operations to the right balance of cost efficiency and business value.
Your responsibilities
- Understands technology pricing and has experience building and managing cost calculators
- Monthly/bi-weekly view into AWS portal and console – deep dive into usage and lead efforts to drive savings methodology
- Find anomalies in usage patterns and give feedback in order to course correct on resource utilization.
- Deep dive into usage / trends for cloud spend and provide cost optimization recommendations (RIs, Savings Plans, etc)
- Analyze spend trends, opportunities for savings and propose savings strategies/options. Create business cases
Our requirements
- Intimate familiarity with cloud infrastructure and cost structure of AWS products and services.
- Familiarity with other cloud service provides such as GCP and Azure.
- Understanding of the AWS cloud computing platform and its pricing dynamics.
- Good English language skills, written and spoken

- Technical background, ideally you're a developer/architect who wants to turn to more business/project side of IT
