Your responsibilities
- Packaging of the software based on the customer's installation specifications ("style guide"): Windows and standard Computers, Windows Terminal Server, Blades, Virtual clients, Peripherals (e.g. printer, scanner, machines etc.), Driver, Security updates Etc.
- Work together with software application responsible persons from different locations
- Use of Asset Management Tools and process-relevant tools.
- Distribution of software packages
- Performance of installation/uninstallation and validity tests
- Performance of functional tests (install ability, program start, etc.) with comparison of installation specifications
- Determination and cleaning up of errors on the basis of log files
- Package documentation
- Compatibility check: Test of the existing software for compatibility with the existing operating system
- Evaluation: Systematic collection, evaluation and interpretation of all data, installation specifications and sources of the software to be packaged.
- Quality assurance: implementation of a test plan specified by the customer or a standard test plan according to best practice approach
Our requirements
- Advanced knowledge in Windows Operating System (Windows 10, Windows Server 2016)
- Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Installer (MSI)
- Good knowledge with Microsoft Powershell
- Advanced scripting knowledge with Invanti DSM (currently in use) or any other scripting language (minimum Microsoft System Configuration Manager (SCCM)/Microsoft Endpoint Manager(EPM))
- Good overall technical IT know-how in the field of IT hardware and software
- Completed degree (computer science or a related subject) or a comparable education and training
- Good written and spoken English knowledge
- Logical thinking skills
