As an IT Support Specialist, you will be a part of the translation system operation team, interacting with other team members around the world. You will report directly to the team leader who is in Gothenburg.

You will have the opportunity to handle incoming support requests and solve them according to SLAs, perform integration and system testing prior to releases and assist with documentation. You will cooperate closely with the issue reporters, developers, system managers, system architects and IT project managers.

Your responsibilities

Carry out tasks assigned by the team leader or issue requester.
Provide creative engineering solutions to new issues and situations in collaboration with senior members of the team, the R&D department, System manager and the production department.
Provide operational technical expertise in the production systems to end users.
Assist and train the end users with technical issues.
Automatize and improve processes using scripting and basic programming skills.
Test, review, and document developed tools / processes and GUI.
When required provide technical sales support to our marketing and sales representatives.

Our requirements

You are a service-minded team player who enjoys helping others and explaining technical solutions in a way that the end user can follow and understand. It is important that you are a self-motivated, structured, and goal-focused IT professional with a genuine interest in all facets of IT and who thrives in a dynamic work environment.
The following skills and merits are valued during the selection process:
A bachelor's or master's degree in information system sciences or similar area of study or equivalent work experience, preferably with a focus on programming / scripting.
Experience in scripting, programming and testing.
Experience with SQL and Database Server Administration/Management
Excellent communication skills with very good verbal and written command of English.
Genuine IT knowledge (i.e., XML, Json, Macros/VBA, regular expressions)
Stylesheet development (XSLT/XSL-FO)
Localization experience (SDL Trados Studio or similar)
Curious and would like to know how things work behind the scenes.
