Your responsibilities
Familiar with the Corporate Trade Compliance internal control plan and procedures to support and comply with local and foreign regulations;
Customs broker and Freight Forwarder Management
Day-to-Day point of contact for Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders.
Respond to inquiries related with missing or incomplete information.
Escalation point for troubleshooting shipment issues
Subject Matter Expert – Transportation Management System. Responsibilities include shipment troubleshooting, audit process and supporting ITC Advocates.
Clear understanding of the methods of customs valuation and applicability to our shipments.
Attend meetings with brokers and forwarders to provide input on issues, business changes and their performance.
Assist Manager in maintaining standard operating procedures.
Work alongside Logistics to support their projects and initiatives
Free Trade Agreement assessment, approvals and training.
Assist with the integration of trade compliance systems and activities for acquired companies.
Support End of Quarter activities to support revenue recognition: ensuring smooth clearance for inbound and outbound shipments, supporting logistic function in their activities.
Represent EMEA topics during monthly and annual global trade compliance meetings
Ad-hoc projects or continuous improvement efforts.
Detail oriented and analytical with high degree of accuracy
Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and be agile when priorities change.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively across different time zones
Our requirements
2-3 years of experience in the same or similar role.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
SAP and SAP GTS experience is a plus.
Certification or education with the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and US Import Regulations is a plus

This position is responsible for ensuring PerkinElmer’s locations in EMEA have an effective trade compliance program that meets all local and applicable governmental rules and regulations. The position will be directly responsible for the European Distribution Center and Customer Care operations as it relates to import / export formalities and broker / freight forwarder management. This position will also be responsible to support the Manager, Customs Compliance Operations with processes related to broker / freight forwarder management.
