About the project
We’re looking for a Java developer who’s eager to take part in implementing an innovative Core Banking system. As ING we strive to provide our customers the best service quality, available 24/7 from any place in the world. To achieve that we have launched a unique project aiming to replace the entire core banking system. One of the changes is the transition from the existing monolithic architecture to a modern cloud solution based on microservices. Thanks to this transformation better performance and scalability will be achieved. The new platform processes data in real-time, making integrations more efficient. We guarantee work in a dynamic environment and the real impact on the solutions.
Your responsibilities
- active contribution in developing the New Core Banking system: backend development
- direct cooperation with analytic and support teams
- participation in requirements collection workshops for infrastructure and IT components
- supporting the testing team and resolving incidents in alignment with application support process
- analysis of errors and incidents
- participating in removing failures and errors, taking part in building the stable solution
Our requirements
- good knowledge of Java 11+, Spring framework (Spring Boot), Maven or Gradle
- experience in REST API development
- knowledge of any database technology (e.g. Postgres) and queuing / event system (preferably Kafka)
- good knowledge of OOP
- applying the best development practices: clean code, DDD, TDD, BDD
Optional
- experience with frontend (JS, TS, Angular, React)
- experience with working with a public cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS) or a private cloud (Kubernetes, Openshift)
- experience with microservice architecture and event-driven systems
