About the project

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team to help us expand application lifecycle management workflows within Jamf. As a team, you are responsible for the whole software development lifecycle. While back-end development will be your main focus, you will be also involved in testing, front-end development and infrastructure maintenance to support teams’s effort. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining and continually improving products that help our customers find success with the Apple platform.

You will participate in an agile delivery team that produces and delivers new features, but also supports and maintains existing functionality with high quality and reliability. You are a key component in Jamf remaining the best of breed in endpoint management of Apple devices.

Your responsibilities

  • Build a deep understanding of workflows that make a Jamf customer successful and apply that knowledge to build high-quality software.

  • Agile Development experience, especially: automation testing, continuous integration, refactoring, code reviews and meeting the overall project requirements.

  • Understanding of and commitment to Agile development methods and practices.

  • Contribute as a fully embedded member of an agile team, working directly with Software Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Product Managers, Software Architects, Product Owners, and others to define, plan, and execute work.

  • Has the ability to positively impact coworkers and teams in a highly collaborative environment.

  • Create, improve and maintain software components utilizing appropriate software language(s) while applying the necessary engineering theory and logic to meet overall project requirements.

  • Engage and collaborate with Software Engineers across teams to share and define best practices related to their area(s) of expertise.

Our requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Java application development.

  • Experience in any of the frontend development frameworks (angular / react / vue).

  • Experience and knowledge of Spring Framework, SQL, Tomcat, Git.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and listening skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and to work in collaboration with multiple teams.

  • Strong written and spoken English language skills.

  • Passionate learner with an inherent desire to stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and best practices.

  • Strong attention to detail.


  • Building automation pipelines for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Jenkins, Terraform, Docker).

  • Experience with API and microservices development.

  • Experience with AWS (Serverless Application Model, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, Cloud Formation, EKS) and/or with Kubernetes.

  • Any of the following: JavaScript, Go, PHP.
