work in the Basware pre-accounting system (e.g. transfer of invoices for payment),
Team Leader’s morning catch-up with the team (so-called Dax meeting – division of tasks, discussing urgent matters),
work in the Basware pre-accounting system (posting of invoices according to the division of tasks established at Dax),
communicating with the contact persons from the Finance departments in the country (e.g. regarding an invoice that needs to be posted shortly),
further processing of invoices in the system,
FIKA, that is a coffee break (virtual or on the office patio),
Team Leader’s afternoon catch-up with the team (so-called Dax meeting),
work in Excel (e.g. preparing an invoice for posting, setting up a new supplier),
conversation with your Buddy (your mentor during the onboarding), e.g. sharing the next bit of knowledge about a given process,
monthly team meeting, e.g. to discuss important instructions from the country’s Business Partner, current topics, holiday plans,
lunch (if in the office, then with the team),
in-house training with a trainer from the team (e.g. on activities performed at the close of the accounting period, specific type of invoices),
self-study (e.g. e-learning via the Billy training platform),
work at the second support line for the Finance Cross Country team (calls/e-mails from suppliers about invoices in the system or payments for invoices).
The duties in a given position vary depending on the character of the team and the cyclical nature of the services delivered.

Together as a team
As part of the AP German team, together with other Junior Specialists, Specialists and Senior Specialists, you will provide timely, adequate, relevant and understandable financial information to the employees of IKEA shops and their suppliers. This will involve checking the accuracy of invoices in the systems and transferring them, as well as supporting the preparation of monthly reports. You will be supported in your daily work by the Team Leader and their Assistants, whom you can consult in demanding situations. You can also count on your Buddy who will help you get to know IKEA’s culture and values and successfully get through the onboarding process.
