Develop, maintain and utilize your expert understanding of the business use, application landscapes & integration, data dependencies and support processes, to enable you to effectively lead and collaborate with the business, IT functions (central, regional & local) and external vendors, in delivering applications management and operations tasks.
Drive the adoption and continual evolution to ensure effective operation of incident, request & problem management processes based on ITIL best practice are utilised by all partners to support the delivery of high quality support services, which are aligned with the Daimler operating model, to achieve timely resolution and restoration of a stable and complete application service. Manage the effectiveness of these services in line with the agreed Service Levels and drive topic escalation as necessary.
Establish and perform service performance reporting to equip stakeholders with the insight to gauge the effectiveness and performance of the solutions verses agreed expected SLA’s, to develop the service quality improvements and to identify and manage threats that may impact the risk operations of the business solutions.
Establish and perform supplier management processes with solution providers to ensure effective management of the relationship, the commercial agreements, service costs, service quality against agreed SLA’s and service compliance status to enable the management of service risks, establish service improvements and recommend service optimization opportunities to safeguard stability, resilience, performance & cost effectiveness of the engaged solutions.
Management and coordination of the acceptance of changes to the solutions providing live business services to protect the integrity and effectiveness of the application.
Lead the management and delivery of releases/small change/bug fixes/patches to resolve issues with running solutions, maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the application and to minimize the impacts of disruption following the introduction of these changes.
Maintain accurate & current documentation of the solutions landscape, ensuring the quality and correctness is captured in the Enterprise Architecture tools of key components, data flows and ownership responsibilities, to assist with ongoing solution support & change/enhancement requirements definition.
Educated to a degree level with at least 2 years working experience in Application Management area.
Good knowledge of IT technologies and architectures.
Good knowledge with technology supporting our Joint Priorities (FOSS, DevOps, Cloud, API, IAM).
Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure and data management.
Experienced expert in the use of IT Service Management Skills (Incident, Request, Problem & Change), at least 2 years’ experience.
Agile project management methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
Well experienced in the software development process in a fitting working model), at least 2 years’ experience.
Knowledge of vendor management and consolidation.
Knowledge of automation technology trends & applications.
Experience in coordinating complex change and harmonisation projects.
Experience with DevOps, at least 2 years’ experience.
Experience of change management/business process re-engineering in a modern commercial environment.
Good working knowledge of the automotive industry would be an advantage.
