    Viacom.Tech in Warsaw plays a crucial role in Viacom`s global engineering organization. We build highly efficient, advanced systems which are used by millions of users all over the world.
    This is a systems and application operations position supporting the performance and availability of the multiplatform web applications and associated cloud application infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting AWS based application stacks with strong experience in AWS SysOps and SRE.

    Junior Cloud Engineer

    You will:

    • Monitor network, server and web applications to ensure high availability
    • Open, update and close trouble tickets with detailed information relating to trouble reported
    • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of a wide range of applications and systems
    • Own production operational issues for products by issuing initial response, data gathering/diagnosis, tracking, and resolution where possible.
    • Perform the role of Incident Manager during Application Outages
    • Assist Development and Infrastructure Groups with scheduled and emergency change management tasks
    • Administer Viacom’s CDN configurations to ensure optimal caching and traffic offload
    • Administer Viacom’s public DNS Infrastructure and day to day record management
    • Routine change request work for Viacom’s AWS Infrastructure using CloudFormation
    • Debug web application, iOS, Android, Roku, AppleTV, FireTV content issues
    • Debug HLS video streaming related issues
    • Skillset to automate and script day to day work

    Your profile:  

    • Experience supporting Linux/Unix based cloud environments and web applications
    • IT operational experience supporting robust e-commerce or Online Businesses in a 24x7 production environment
    • Experience with working on Puppet or Chef system design and module development
    • Strong understanding of internet protocols (e.g. HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP, SMTP, DNS).
    • Excellent oral & written communication skills
    • Very good English

    9. Providing us with your personal data is voluntary
