Your responsibilities

  • The Junior Statutory Controller supports Statutory Controller for one or more countries in ensuring the effective and reliable operation of accounting and will work closely with the accounting analyst’s in charge of these countries.

  • The Junior Controller is acting as focal point in the country/countries and is responsible for compliance with local GAAP, local statutory, and cooperation with local tax advisors. The Controller supports the Accounting team to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Solenis policies.

  • Supporting local statutory reporting and cooperation with external and internal auditors,

  • Support for Accounting Team and oversight of month end closing activities,

  • Back up for the Accounting Supervisor of Accounting Team,

  • Supporting Tax Dept. in meeting tax requirements according to legally required timelines,

  • Continual improvements of the financial processes.

  • Closing Activities:

  • Supporting the execution of the month end closing activities of the entities according to global and regional closing schedule and in line with both US GAAP and internal accounting guide lines,

  • Reviewing and supporting the monthly tax calculations & schedules,

  • Coordination and/or preparation of corrective entries that are needed based on monitoring of the financial results during the month and closing,

  • Supporting the quantitative and qualitative financial analysis of monthly operating results (Sales, Gross Profit, Expenses analysis).

  • Statutory Reporting:

  • Identify country specific legal & statutory requirements (e.g. content, format, filing due dates, penalties),

  • Support for compilation of Statutory Accounts and Tax Returns (e.g. ensure completion of Statutory Accounts, prepare Financial Statements, prepare Notes to the Financial Statements, prepare Management Report, file Financial Statements and coordinate preparing Tax Returns to local authorities),

  • Review Year-end Balance Sheet Specifications (reconciliation, G/L account breakdown, supporting documentation) prepared by Accounting Team and provide support if needed.

Our requirements

  • Professional level of knowledge of accounting practices,

  • Experience with compiling of financial statements or auditing financial statements,

  • Good understanding of the use and application of ERP systems (SAP pre),

  • Good understanding of the use and application of other I.T. (Excel, Word & PowerPoint, OneStream),

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant financial experience in a multinational environment (Big 4 audit firms pre),

  • Willingness to travel (up to 10%),

  • Pro-active, hands on mentality, convincing, motivated, team player,

  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
