Your responsibilities
Resolving first and second level support problems; 60% of which will be resolved without escalation.
Escalating to senior peers or relevant teams where required, promptly following procedures and ensuring management is updated accordingly. Ensuring the customer and ticket is up to date at all times.
Involved in the planning, reviewing and execution of “Standard” templated client change requests within SLO.
Maintain, troubleshoot and co-ordinate replacement of faulty hardware.
Daily review and action of open cases; updating the customer and Operations Manager on current cases and their status as appropriate.
To provide comprehensive handovers to peers at the end of shift.
Working with 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot complex issues.
Identify and deliver opportunities of automation to support the global teams efficiency efforts.
Create, update and maintain the Network and Hosting knowledge base and documentation repository to assist other associates and peers.

Able to demonstrate an understanding of key networking concepts
Knowledge and interest in platform technologies including Microsoft Windows, Unix and/or Linux.
Basic DNS knowledge
Experience with VMware and/or other virtualization solutions
Preferred: working knowledge of a range of networking and security technologies, including: Cisco switches and routers, Juniper switches and routers, Load balancers, DDos, Cloud technologies.
Preferred: a degree in IT or equivalent proven experience in technical support roles for high-availability data centre infrastructures.
Preferred: experience with Ansible/Shell/Perl/Expect/Powershell and/or other scripting languages and/or web development technologies
Preferred: ITIL accreditation

The Role
The Associate Network Analyst is a technical specialist working as part of a Hosting Network Operations as well as Managed Hosting Operations teams. They will provide superior support to the Lumen Managed Network and Hosting Clients in a complex network/hosting solutions environment. The Associate Analyst is responsible for handling incidents of medium priority and will have the ability to understand problems, investigate incidents and come up with solutions. The Associate role will also be responsible for planning, reviewing and executing of “Standard” templated client change requests with a view of increasing responsibilities over time.
The candidate will ideally be qualified or working towards obtaining a CCNA/JNCIA/RHCSA/MCSA level or a similar record of experience.
The hours worked are a 40 hour a week Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday with the flexibility to perform one of the following shifts 08:00-16:00, 08:30-16:30 or 09:00-17:00.
