About the project

We’re looking for a Software Engineer passionate about gadgets, IoT and smart devices, who’ll be mainly responsible for the development of new devices’ integrations for the SmartThings platform. You may be the one who makes things a little more connected and a lot smarter.

● Script languages: Lua, Groovy
● Communication protocols: ZigBee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Thread
● GitHub, Jira, Confluence
● Sumo Logic
Your responsibilities
The integration of smart home devices with the “SmartThings” ecosystem
Building innovative features for smart homes
Maintaining existing solutions and fixing reported issues
Work with testing and other cross-functional teams to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences
Our requirements
Passionate about gadgets, IoT, and smart devices
1 year of software development experience in Java and experience or willingness to learn other languages like Lua
Independent working but within a small team of highly talented and quality-focused engineers
Ability to write clean and high quality code
Good English - communication level
Optional
Backend and/or frontend technologies knowledge
Knowledge of design patterns
Python
The basics of electrical engineering
Association of Polish Electrical Engineers certification (SEP) to work with electrical devices (group 1, operation)
