About the project
Join the Precisely Customer Engagement Solutions as a Site Reliability Engineer supporting Cloud based environments on the EngageOne team. This is an ambitious role that will create a vital link between Developers, Application Architects, Product and Technical support teams. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills and enjoys solving complex problems across components and technologies. Remote working is offered although you must be able to attend Bielsko - Biala when required.
Your responsibilities
Deploy new cloud services and enhance CICD pipeline capabilities within cloud based hosted solutions
Introduce and implement better tools to enhance DevOps and SRE practices
Providing continues feedback to the wider Engineering organization on elements which could improve the overall service
Increasing cloud services, application reliability and availability through process improvement
Implementing automated scaling and deployment infrastructure based on customer needs
New customer onboarding: plan, design, deploy and managed custom hosted technologies used to provide OnDemand services to our clients
Monitoring performance and security incidents of the cloud applications and managing incidence response activities
Develop automation solutions and/or procure solutions in optimizing manual operational work
Modification to existing (legacy) customer configurations, bringing them in-line with current hosted managed standards
Participate in on-call problem escalation and outage recovery efforts related to cloud hosted solutions
Optimizing application monitoring tool stack including fine tuning actionable alerts, process improvements, major Incident review and enhancements to reduce recovery time
Being an advocate of knowledge sharing, completing documentation
Performing routine audits of systems, upgrading and patching them accordingly
Learn, collaborate, share knowledge and experience with your teams and beyond
Our requirements
Experience of AWS technologies (for example: VPC, IAM, EFS, EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, WAF, SES, SNS, SQS)
Working knowledge of best practices when using Gitlab / Gitlab Pipelines
Experience of creating Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
Experience of programming languages (for example Python)
Knowledge of managing Linux environments
Experience of Packer and Ansible for AMI provisioning
Readiness of being “on-call” in rotas
Experience of common internet applications and services (email, web, html, SFTP)
