    The first automated vehicle to drive coast to coast? That was Aptiv. The first gesture control system for premium cars? That’s us as well. A huge part of this work has been done in Krakow Technical Center by our engineers.     Junior Software Systems Engineer -
    Autonomous Cars
    Location: Kraków

    Your role:

    • Owner of an assigned feature or sensing function/algorithm for autonomous driving functionalities, such as vehicle or pedestrian detection, road markings and lanes, and other obstacles and information
    • Systems development: requirements negotiation, system definition and documents writing, coordination of activities across all competencies for delivery of the given feature or function
    • Testing and validation of own feature or function, verification of bug reports, and analysis of the performance (driving the vehicle to verify the autonomous feature behaves as expected)
    • Defining functionality and overall architecture design for algorithms in line with OEM expectations and internal company vision
    • Coordinating activities by internal and suppliers as well as customers
    • Help with defining validation plans and procedures for the assigned feature or function for production algorithms, and the overall system. Gathering statistics, and understanding weaknesses of the system. KPI calculation. Working with hardware in the loop, software in the loop as well as simulated testing
    • Working globally, across the EU countries, Asia and North America – role is likely to involve international and intercontinental travel multiple times a year

    Essential requirements:

    • University degree in engineering / science or equivalent qualification
    • Good Level of English
    • Some understanding of product or software development process
    • Hands-on mentality, independent and with own initiative
    • Good communication and team work skills
    • High level of self-motivation and dedication

    Desirable qualifications:

    • 1 year or more experience as systems engineer, function owner or feature owner
    • Experience with embedded technologies: CAN, SPI, Aurix
    • Experience of working in an Agile engineering organization
    • Experience with Automotive SPICE process
    • Experience with Agile development tools such as JIRA, Confluence
    • Awareness of ISO 26262
