Your responsibilities

• Oversee Mechanics Schedules and Job Orders.

• To review the safety practices of mechanics and ensure that all employees are following applicable safety guidelines.

• Ensuring that the full value of a risk assessment is reaped.

• Ensuring installations are compliant with approved specification.

• Providing direction, advice and support to the Mechanical subcontractors employed on the project.

• Examination mechanical design drawings and specifications.

• Resolving site co-ordination problems with subcontractors.

• Interacting with all relevant stakeholders. Liaise and co-ordinate with different discipline Supervisors, Projects Engineers, End Users, Asset Holders and other client relevant departments.

• Develops and implements Method Statement and standard work procedures to continually improve overall team productivity.

• Review the project planning and scheduling for projects during the construction phase, identify any construction slippages and assist in optimizing the contractor's resources.

• Review construction method statements, pre commissioning procedures and endorse red mark drawings and project dossiers.

• Ensuring method statements are followed.

• Enforcing applicable standard operating procedures.

• Enforcing installation quality control in accordance with specification.

• Highlighting schedule concerns and manpower concerns to the System Engineer.

• Ensuring housekeeping is undertaken frequently enough to maintain a safe and neat work place at all times.

• Promoting safe working practices and to protect the health and well-being of all relevant stakeholders.

• Ensure that equipment vendor preservation prescriptions are thoroughly followed.

• Control and endorse work permits for the project work and ensure that safety regulations, project safety plans, client safety and environment regulations are understood and followed by the contractor.
