    Job overview

    The Knowledge Analyst role is part of a team of Knowledge Management specialists supporting the different practices within Oliver Wyman. This is a temporary position for a period of 3 months, with a possibility to become a permanent position in 2018. An important aspect of the role will be to build excellent working relationships with the key practice figures globally. The purpose of this role is to help support, develop and facilitate knowledge sharing across the business. The aim of the KM Analyst is to assist the TNS Senior Knowledge Manager in maintaining knowledge tools, provide consultants with support and help develop/ promote tools and processes which increase information flow and best practice sharing within the TNS practice and across the firm. The Oliver Wyman Transportation & Services (TNS) practice serves the sectors that transport people and goods, the companies building and servicing their equipment, and those providing business services our clients need from payment processing to environmental management around the globe.

    Key responsibilities

    The role of the Knowledge Analyst is to work with the TNS Senior Knowledge Manager in facilitating the transfer of intellectual capital across the domain and throughout the company. Responsibilities include: Knowledge Management – Project and business development tracking, intellectual capital capture and dissemination, IC extraction, knowledge systems maintenance and development, promoting and training consultants in proper use of knowledge tools and appropriate knowledge sharing, expert/expertise tracking

    • Internal Research– Supporting client proposals, internal IC generation, production of Current Awareness bulletins by leveraging internal knowledge and working closely with our client and business development teams
    • Advisory –Supporting internal clients in the use and distribution of internally generated IC and practice specific tools. Promoting the message that information sharing behaviors are actively encouraged and rewarded within OW
    • Newsletter dissemination  – Compilation of key practice communication formats to increase connectivity and awareness of our best IC
    • Data Management – Working with frequently used external data sets and client data, managing models and internal benchmarks


    • Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken is a must
    • Educated to Degree level – ideally with an MLS (or equivalent) and/or accredited Knowledge Management qualification
    • 1-3 years of work experience in a related role. Experience in consulting and/or with AMI background is advantageous
    • Service-minded, solution oriented and ability to prioritize
    • Solid analytical and research skills, and a high level of intellectual curiosity
    • Disciplined in managing own time
    • Willingness to act as an internal advisor
    • Top flight communication skills – able to deal with colleagues requests across cultures as well of different experience levels and seniority
    • Good understanding of the competitive environment of our consulting business, and the value of capturing and disseminating information to grow knowledge assets of the group
    • Ability in other languages, especially German, an advantage
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Powerpoint
    • Knowledge of Sharepoint advantageous but not essential
