Your responsibilities

  • The role requires a strong understanding of complex account structures and ability to facilitate direct client friendly guidance on company's policy / regulatory driven requirements during or after client meetings to get it right first time

  • Preparation of and sharing of full documentation customized to structure and account permutation involved for a seamless client experience

  • Building KYC client profiles based upon information obtained from the clients and from official public sources

  • Ensuring strong KYC data is collected from client

  • When a completed account application pack is received, CAO will validate documents and revert to client with full resolution orientated guidance where gaps are identified for best client experience

  • Proceed to perform all necessary background checks such as Factiva

  • Where a client profile requires escalated approvals, specialist will proactively prepare suitable write ups to help senior approvers understand reason for escalation and due diligence carried out to mitigate any applicable risk

  • Work to reduce the end-to-end account delivery cycle time

  • Proactively manage banker and client expectations on delivery of accounts

  • Participate in process improvement & regulatory reviews

  • This position requires strong ability to work independently to apply knowledge of policy and procedures to ensure that all aspects of the client’s profile are acceptable with no exceptions while enhancing the client experience

  • The role has a close working interaction with Compliance, Business Risk, KYC quality checker and Tax Teams among other partners to deliver a bespoke service

Employer requirements

  • Proven experience in KYC or AML Compliance or account opening, ideally gained from working in a similar role/ industry is preferred

  • Ability to work under pressure within hard deadlines

  • Must be determined, passionate and adaptable

  • Ability to effectively work among a solution driven team

  • Proven organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to multitask and be a proactive team player

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Fluent in English
