Your responsibilities

  • Ensure KYC due diligence reviews are undertaken to the required quality and detail,

  • Ensure Account Openings are prepared at the highest level of quality,

  • Analyze provided documents from risk, anti-money laundering and sanctions perspective

  • Analyze the risk associated with the client in accordance with regulatory requirements, and escalate if necessary as per process matrix,

  • Analyze the risks associated with the client from a technical perspective,

  • Work effectively with key stakeholders using strong influencing skills to ensure mutually satisfactory resolution of key issues and the respective responsibilities are understood and discharged,

  • Work in a time-sensitive environment.

  • Keep the quality and production expectations on a high level.

  • Actively seeking for simplifications, system updates.

Our requirements

  • Analytical skills in respect of dealing with wide variety of documents

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to build and maintain relationships,

  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude,

  • Pro-active and business orientated with proven ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands and ability to assess stakeholder’s needs to improve customer experience,

  • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business counterparts, managers, consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users,

  • Fluency in English (speaking & writing)

  • Knowledge/understanding of factors that affect the risk rating of a customer,

  • Ability to work well under pressure with high degree of accuracy,

  • Independent way of working and time management.

Optional

  • Understanding of relevant European and global regulatory frameworks is an advantage

  • Experience in the Finance and Banking industry environment is an advantage

  • Knowledge of other languages (e.g. German, French, Italian, Spanish) is an asset

Global Banking and Markets KYC Services Team’s objective is to provide robust client due diligence, process excellence and standardization across each KYC function.

KYC (Know Your Customer) is a department which is responsible for providing centralized production and validation of customer’s data in order to support accurately risk rate HSBC customers. Quality function is installed within KYC to ensure KYC due diligence reviews are undertaken to the required quality in line with policy and regulatory requirements.
