    KYC Senior Specialist
    Location: Warszawa

    This position will involve the review of client profiles to ensure compliance with Citi Private Bank policy and regulatory mandates. The KYC Specialist will act as a front line KYC quality gate keeper and process desk for due diligence verification, ensuring there are no deficiencies in profile data or documentation.


    New clients of the bank are subject to review and collection of documentary evidence pre trade. Existing clients of the bank are subject to KYC periodic review in accordance with the firms program and regulatory obligations. The role includes liaison with sales, client on boarding, compliance and operational groups across the firm.

    Key responsibilities of the team include:

    • Review of profiles presented via CPB system making comparison of the information (Narrative) entered into the Client Profile with information present in documents in particular clients identification, verification of data andan assessment of the Client’s net worth, Ensure that the correct level of approvals have been given depending upon the determined risk of the client.
    • Conducting Periodic Reviews of existing CPB clients information presented via CPB system to ensure quality standards set by the latest version of KYC Directive are met.
    • Inspecting departures from anticipated account activity during periodic reviews to ensure suitable explanation for the breaks was provided by the Banker and that the anticipated account activity settings for accounts do not need to be modified.
    • Identify documentary and KYC issues and follow-up with the Banker to clear shortcomings as appropriate, prior to quality acceptance.
    • Research and validation of customer identification and Source of Wealth data/evidence using appropriate internal and external data sources
    • Ensure customers classified in line with required internal regulations
    • Liaison with Compliance Department and the Business units supported
    • Work with the Banker and Relationship Team to assess documentation requirements for client legal entities and jurisdictions;
    • Review and evaluate recent negative news related to clients;
    • Liaise with internal Compliance personnel on the application of KYC policy;
    • Liaise with Bankers to ascertain information on the purpose of client accounts, transaction volumes etc.
    • Liaise with Bankers and Analysts from other Lines Of Business during Enterprise Wide Reviews to ensure client data is consistent throughout all LOB’s where client is present
    • Perform accurate and consistent QA checks on sample KYC profiles reviewed by Ops Support Analyst
    • Performing second layer of QA for periodical processes where required


    • Master's Degree
    • Profound knowledge in Know your Customer (KYC) matters and topics
    • Knowledge of various types of trading entities – hedge funds, asset managers, pension funds, limited, private and public companies, holding companies, special purpose vehicles, trusts, etc
    • A minimum of 1 year in the financial sector with a specialized focus on KYC/AML
    • Experience in leading projects will be an asset
    • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel, Power Point and applicable internal systems;
    • Strong teamwork skills in a small local setting, as well as across different geographic locations;
    • Strong organization skills with an excellent attention to detail;
    • Excellent awareness of and adherence to audit and risk controls;
    • Fluency in English, both verbal and written is essential.
