Your responsibilities
- Defining recommendations of purchasing strategies for specific spend categories at Group level with all sites input
- Leading negotiations at Group level for the assigned categories (TCO approach)
- Understanding the needs of each site and supporting them in case of emergency
- Defining and proposing purchasing plans, developing opportunities for cost reduction within the quality and service level requested by company policies
- Supporting new supplier implementation
- Suppliers risk management assessment (Quality, Supply, Finance, Contract)
- Full involvement of the Local buyer during all tender process and update LB activities on monthly base
- Cooperating efficiently with internal customers and suppliers to ensure optimum purchasing operations for the Group
- Participating in purchasing budget and forecast
- Supply risk management at local and Group level
- Tender preparation and leading
Our requirements
- Master Degree in a relevant field (preferred Engineering, Chemistry, Economy, Science)
- 5 years of experience in purchasing within one of the following industrial sector: Fine Chemicals, Food industry, Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical – mandatory requirement
- Fluent in English and Polish
- Excellent Excel skills, good knowledge of ERP like SAP, SAGE, BPCS
- Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple and compelling way
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Financial acumen
- Data analysis and presentation skills (advanced knowledge of MS Excel with particular emphasis on the ability to analyze data and present key information)
- Ability to search for new suppliers
- Experience in influencing and engaging stakeholders across business functions and levels of seniority
