Your responsibilities
- As Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and implementing solutions for main circuit LV & MV equipment. Further you will be responsible to:
- Be part of a design team under the direction of the Project Technical Lead
- Work on specifications, design and verification of primary electrical circuit equipment including inverter, transformer, switchgear and cabling
- Prepare layout of assembly i.e. container, skid mount according to the specifications to site integration
- Specification & integration of auxiliary functions such as cooling, controls, communication, access and safety
- Oversee prototyping and verification of electrical components and installation while producing design documents
- Collaborate with Vestas’ suppliers and procurement & manufacturing teams
- Engage with clients on demonstration projects
Employer requirements
- ou have a relevant technical degree for e.g. B.Sc. / M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, including delivery of installations. Furrther, we imagine that you have the following skills and expertise:
- Highly skilled and possess knowledge on key technologies like power electronics, HV engineering, automation
- Strict systems engineering and internal process adherence for product development
- Knowledge on HV and MV metering equipment and power systems with good understanding of primary and secondary systems
- Experience in stakeholder management spanning full value chain and customer interactions is beneficial
- Experienced in project execution in matrix organization
- You possess high level skills in English - orally and written

Within the business unit Vestas Power Solutions, the department Converter & Electrical Module is responsible for technology and product development of frequency converters, their control, and high-voltage transformers, switchgear and cables. The department consist of several Sub Modules, specific to each of the electrical components, as well as a complementary "Electrical balance-of-plant Apparatus" function.
This eBoP-A department is responsible for solutions for main circuit LV & MV equipment, by internal design or external contracting. Applications involve - but are not limited to - electrical front-end to electrolysis for power-to-gas or batteries for bulk storage. Activities range from conceptualisation, via procurement analysis and design to prototype demonstration & verification. Focus is initially on small series to support business development with a view to enable high volume.
