About the project

The Unified Collaboration team under End User services within ITID provides the mobile, collaboration and communication services to Business functions. Under Unified Collaboration, the Lead engineer for mobile will be responsible for AV operations and delivery tasks.

The Mobile engineering pod will continue to deliver HSBC’s corporate-owned and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solutions to smart phones and tablets. It will review and define the hardware/handsets used, define the configuration to be applied (in conjunctions with HSBC’s Cybersecurity team as appropriate), manage and control the core infrastructure that provides the mobile solutions, and be accountable for all engineering work on those solutions.

Your responsibilities

  • Act as a change agent for sustainable continuous improvement, identifying and removing organisational barriers affecting the team, processes and products owned

  • Maintain support of existing Blackberry and Microsoft Intune mobile infrastructure by providing 3rd line support to operations teams.

  • Drive an agile mind-set within the team by adopting the practices and processes identified as being required for our engineering pods, leveraging agile delivery methods, associated frameworks and Bank tools

  • Ensure the team’s delivery is aligned with the ITID strategy, vision, and the Product Management direction

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the team, focusing on automation, process improvement, how technology is best leveraged and technology shift opportunities

  • Be accountable for the team’s budget as assigned, perform vendor management as needed against assigned partners, following all applicable HSBC and ITID policies and procedures for financial and team management

  • Work with the ITID platform managers to identify and agree improvement opportunities, reallocating staff, products or services if this benefits the organisation

  • With Product Management, prepare business cases for the implementation of new products; support the delivery of these business cases up to board level

  • Work with other development teams and the business to ensure any new solutions are onboarded smoothly and securely to the HSBC ecosystem

Our requirements

  • Stakeholder management

  • Communication Skills

  • Technical knowledge of Blackberry mobile infrastructure

  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Intune MDM

Optional

  • Experience and working knowledge of enterprise mobile infrastructure

  • Industry standard certifications in the technology area of work would be preferred
