Your responsibilities
In this role you will learn and work on the newest aircraft engine technology trends. The work scope covers technical support during GE Catalyst Engine Manual creation including Repair Documents, Support NPI process, act as a customer advocate during engineering and program reviews. You will be responsible to gather shop floor, repair and line maintenance mechanics inputs to be used during documents creation and validation, and to deliver Engine Manuals and Repair Documents on time for EIS. In the longer term perspective also field support during entire engine life cycle.
You will support all activities relating to enhancing services technology, integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and other performance parameters.
The role requires problem solving attitude, creativity, accountability, and ability to define goals for self and others. This is unique opportunity to become the member of engineering team in Poland, developing and support of the new product in aviation market including collaborating in international environment.
executing and creating with limited guidance of assigned Engine Manual procedures, development of Repair documents, using NPI schedule to set priority
support engine testing and certification campaign
provide technical support & leadership over a cross-functional team to ensure on-time customer/shop responsiveness, cost of ownership goals for assigned hardware
managing assigned modules and components (Repair development/industrialization, Service Bulletin creation, Leading Indicators, CMMs, etc..)
cooperating and leading efforts within engineering teams (across disciplines and organizations), Technical Publication, Suppliers, Assembly/Overhaul and Repair Shops organizations in the Engine Manual and Repair Documents creation for EIS readiness
developing plan and driving Engine Manual procedures validation and Repairs industrialization by EIS
participate as an author and presenter in technical and program reviews (for task/project results review and approval)
formulate and implement tasks/project plans, monitor and report status to achieve technical requirements, schedules, and commitments
Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Our requirements
Bachelor/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience relevant to indicated position area of expertise
Experience in engineering design and repair process
Experience with technical documentation (drawings, Repair documents, Engine Manuals, etc)
Strong communication skills, including English language (spoken and written)
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a challenging and dynamic environment under time pressure
Target orientation, responsibility, demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, passion to learn, open-mindedness, strong motivation.
Ability to influence others and lead small project teams
EU work permit
Airline, Overhaul Shop or Repair shop experience will be an asset
