Your responsibilities

Job Description Summary:

Avio Aero Advanced Technology Operations is looking for a talented engineer to join our Advanced Systems Design & Technology team.

The prime responsibility will be to perform thermal and secondary fluid system design of next generation low pressure turbine

Essential Responsibilities:

The primary job function for this position is in establishing aero thermal design requirements with stakeholders and developing secondary flow architectures and system/subsystem thermal design to meet those technical and program requirements

In addition you will:

•Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the design and analysis of assigned secondary flow design projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards and program / product requirements.

•Perform trade studies to define and optimize system design within constraints

•Guarantee the availability of state of the art technology for LPT thermal controls

•Build and demonstrate knowledge of relevant physics and how design components or subsystems interact and integrate into the larger system or product

•Ensure secondary flow system definition accurately represents component characteristics

•Understand system design margin requirements

•Understand system risk and identifies potential abatements

•Ensure overall system balances design, cost, lifecycle support and customer requirements

•Contribute to and present at technical and design reviews

•Interact with global thermal community and research network

•Document and communicate results of technical data generated

•Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Our requirements

Required Qualifications

•Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university

•Good knowledge of fundamental mechanical design concepts, mechanics of materials, design hand calculations

•Have strong engineering outlook, hands-on engineering foundation and eager to learn

•Clear thinking and diligent approach

•English language knowledge, both written and oral

•Good interpersonal and communication skills
