About the project

This is an exciting opportunity if you are seasoned software developer with top hands-on programming experience, expert knowledge on modern application patterns and passion to create solutions through effective teamwork.

We are looking for Lead IT Developer (Technical Lead) to join one of our Team and become essential developer with strong mandate to influence delivery of new business features, technical initiatives and improvements. You will be working in mature agile environment embracing DevOps mindset, with everyday close cooperation with great Product Owner. You will help Team define and achieve goals by leading, coaching and being example with respect to agile principles and values. We are interested in long term cooperation, so you can really get to know our products and have a positive impact on our users’ satisfaction.

You will become part of our Road IT department, where we implement and maintain IT systems to keep 20.000 trucks and 10.000 operational staff working efficiently. We need your help in our continued effort to deliver great products to our business.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and technically own backend (TypeScript/NestJS/Node.js), frontend (TypeScript/React) solution hosted in Cloud

  • Build and maintain technical backlog together with Team and Architects. Communicate it clearly with Product Owner to help him effectively prioritize tasks.

  • Propose and/or support technical improvements/modernizations like migrations, refactoring, performance/cost optimisation etc….

  • Support, coach and develop skills of Team members

  • Help applications Supporters by providing knowledge and tools

Our requirements

  • 7+ years of solid commercial experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js

  • Ability to understand high level development plan with emerging dependencies based on product backlog (both business requirements and technical improvements)

  • Ability to coordinate internally within the Team (when required) and externally with Product Owner and other Teams

  • Passion for writing well-structured and easily maintainable code

  • Natural strive for continuous improvement

  • Strong communication and cooperation skills

  • Strong technical ownership of products being developed

  • Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and modern backend (TypeScript/NestJS/Node.js/TypeORM), frontend (TypeScript/React)

  • Knowledge of modern tooling (Jenkins, Azure Devops, maven, git, flyway, Jira) and practices (Clean Code, TTD, pair programming)

  • Knowledge of Azure or other Cloud technology
