A Day in the Life
 
The main purpose of the role is to drive optimization of the educational activities and address educational needs through high quality innovative solutions, dedicated to optimal clinical and patient outcomes. Secure wide array of options, including hands-on skills based training, didactic classes, and e-learning to satisfy educational needs of medical professionals in the most efficient and effective way. Partner with Business Units to identify opportunities and barriers for improving educational offering and be well aligned with the overall strategic direction.

Key responsibilities of your role will be:
  • To plan, organize and oversee the educational approaches and strategies, as well as the development and resources of curriculum.
  • To develop a comprehensive educational strategy and ensure that we offer the right portfolio of training options.
  • To ensure delivery of the Medical Education Department’s contribution to BUs strategic plans.
  • To establish and monitor a system of measurement to assess effectiveness, impact and quality of customer education.
  • To provide recommendations on improving education process to management.
  • To support and develop academic centers in partnership with leading teaching universities across the respective entity, to secure necessary budget/equipment and ensure Health, Safety and Environmental practice complies with Universities policy and regulations.
  • To liaise with internal and external stakeholders on educational regulations and standards.
  • To work closely with BUs to develop Educational plans and ensure successful execution of educational programs.
  • To work in conjunction with Marketing to establish strategy and plans for customer education.
  • To assess customer educational needs & ensure alignment of customer courses curriculum with the business objectives and changing health care environment.
  • To create and interpret performance summaries in order to identify issues, collect information and draw conclusions in an objective manner.

Must Haves and Nice to Haves:

Must haves:

  • Master degree.
  • Minimum of  10 years (for MD title holders – min. 5 years) of related experience.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Knowledge of Medtronic related therapies.
  • Advanced planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Strong influencing skills to present new ideas, promote collaboration and generate buy-in; change driver.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
  • Demonstrated follow-through, initiative, attention to detail and drive for continuous improvement.
  • High level of energy and stress tolerance required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel internationally (up to 40% of time).
Nice to haves:
  • Medical education (MD title) will be an advantage.
  • Consulting profile / experience from consulting healthcare industry will be a strong advantage.
