About the project
The Learning Software Developer is responsible for architecting and maintaining applications for use by the Worldwide Education organization. The Systems & Support Organization is seeking a full-stack application developer, offering the unique opportunity to create new solutions using a broad array of technologies, without any legacy technical debt. In this role, you will analyze, develop, design, and maintain software for the organization.
Your responsibilities
Perform all tasks normally associated with Application Development including but not limited to:
Develop new and improve existing functionality of the systems and tools that support asset tracking and portfolio management
Perform as a contributing member of a agile team using software development techniques to produce, maintain and support software solutions
Participate in design and implementation activities
Provide accurate effort estimates for projected work and participate in daily stand-ups and bi-weekly sprint reviews
Participate in code reviews and feedback
Ensure solutions are robust and maintainable, and delivered on time
Debug and resolve complex issues
Work closely with learning strategy and development team members to shape and deliver features that delight end users
Administers and maintain code in source control repositories
Participates on functional project teams as required
Interfaces with other Worldwide Education staff globally
Proficient with English verbal and written communication
Our requirements
Experience with Java, Spring and Hibernate frameworks, as well as CI tools (GIT, Maven, Jenkins) and processes.
Experience with Oracle databases and SQL
Ability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed
Ability to find innovative solutions to mitigate dependencies and risks for deliverables
Experience with front-end technologies Angular 2+, HTML5/CSS will be a plus
Strong background in modern software development practices, principles, and tools
Multitask and work on a diverse range of solutions
Work with teams across different time zones as needed
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to constant change.
