Draft, review, and negotiate non-disclosure agreements for the purchase of IT services and technology, IT hardware products, software development, and license agreements;
Prepare, draft, review and revise requests for proposals and assist O&T and Procurement colleagues in purchasing best value for money solutions;
Assist O&T and Client Contracting Team with queries related to TMF Group technology offerings, project agreements, general terms & conditions, non-disclosure, and other types of (IT) agreements;
Closely cooperating with O&T and colleagues from other TMF Group functions, vendors, advisors, or law firms, ensuring adherence to TMF Group policies and at the same time securing a commercially favorable position for TMF Group;
Provide practical guidance and create awareness with the business on IT law and data protection related topics, including providing training on the relevant topics from time to time;
Work on initiatives to make the IT Legal and Procurement team more ESG-responsible, scalable, cooperative, and digitalized;
Assist on any other (IT) legal matters, as required from time to time.
3-8 years of working experience in the relevant field, preferably in an international and corporate environment with IT, working on IT Law-related and general procurement and commercial matters.
University degree in law, and experience within either a renowned law firm or as an in-house counsel or legal consultant.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, work with a high level of productivity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Highly motivated, business-oriented, and pragmatic legal professional.
Proven organizational, analytical, follow-through, and standardization skills.
Excellent clear communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships, customer centrism, consulting skills, and service-solution-oriented mindset.
The ability to analyze, provide expert legal advice and solutions on various IT matters.
Professional discretion and confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Candidates with additional (specialization in) Business or IT studies or a combination thereof will have a preference.

We are looking for a Legal Counsel specialized in IT Law to expand our IT Legal and Procurement team. An ideal candidate will be passionate about handling various IT matters in their broadest sense and will be able to reliably deliver pragmatic, business-oriented advice and assistance to our Operations & Technology team and other internal stakeholders on queries related to IT law.
You will be part of the IT Legal and Procurement team residing within Group Legal & Risk, which works closely with the Operations & Technology (O&T) team, and other service and support departments. The IT Legal and Procurement team advises on a broad range of matters, including TMF Group technology, contract law, IP and IT law, data processing agreements with our vendors, brand queries, service level agreements, regulatory matters, internal policies, and other related topics. You will directly report to the Head of Group Privacy Office, IT Legal, and Procurement based out of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
You will work on future-proofing TMF Group's IT engagements, in line with the Group Legal & Risk and Global Legal Function overall’s mission and TMF Group set risk-appetite. You will be responsible to prepare, draft, review and revise requests for proposals, assist the Client Contracting Team with queries related to TMF Group technology offerings, project agreements, general terms & conditions, non-disclosure, and other types of (IT) agreements. You will be responsible to prepare, draft and revise service, software, and IT procurement agreements in line with TMF Group contracting standards. Advising on and supporting with potential litigation may be part of your tasks as well, next to any other work as required from time to time by TMF Group Legal & Risk Management, and O&T Leadership.
