    Job description:

    Ardigen is seeking an experienced and energetic Business Development Manager to be a key customer interface for Life Sciences. Candidates must have experience of selling specialised services and / or products and selling to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.


    The successful candidate will have experience in B2B Sales and Marketing activities in a Life Sciences / Biotechnology space. This role will be a blend of key account management and strategic business development, so the candidate must be able to demonstrate achievements in both areas.


    The Business Development Manager will actively cultivate new accounts and propose new markets for Ardigen’s growing services and products in Life Sciences technologies. Additionally he/she will be maintaining and growing existing client relationships through focused account management and retention activities both over the telephone and face-to-face.


    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Proactive new business generation with a focus on pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as other key industry stakeholders, in the US and Europe
    • Managing existing relationships for growth through valued account management and up-selling new solutions
    • Maintaining a robust pipeline for future accounts generation by sourcing new prospects
    • Engaging and communicating effectively with senior (often C-level) decision makers
    • Accurately maintaining and developing prospect/client data via our CRM tool
    • Collaborating with other commercial teams to maximise opportunities from prospects and existing clients
    • Willingness to learn and develop a high level of knowledge across a broad range of company products and services
    • Attending world-class conferences and events with the aim of developing new business and supporting existing clients

    Education, Experience, and Competencies Required:

    • Life Science related degree. Master’s degree is required, PhD is an additional plus.
    • A broad knowledge of the bioinformatics and molecular biology.
    • Basic level knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in general is nice to have.
    • Fluent English - verbal and written, at least C1 level.
    • Sales experience into the Pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector required, which must include proactive new business generation.
    • Strong commercial acumen with experience of presenting to senior decision makers in the Pharma/Biotech sector
    • High personal standards and positive personality.
    • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills
    • A motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, target driven environment
    • Passionate about Life Science and results / goal driven;
    • A self-starter with a track record of success ideally in and out of the workplace
    • Sandler Selling System experience is nice to have.
