Logistics and Customs Senior Specialist

Meaningful Work From Day One

In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining relations with Polish Customs & Tax office, Logistics Service Provider (LSP), external and internal suppliers. You should support all daily Operations of Supply Chain with focus on inbound deliveries (import and intra community supply), excise tax management, import tariffs, strip stamps application and all regulatory and customs procedures & reporting.

What You Can Expect?

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations concerning cooperation with Customs and Tax Office in the area of:

  • BF Poland Excise tax warehouse
  • EMCS system (e-AD) and Intrastat reporting

Establish and maintain effective relationship with LSP (Logistics Service Provider) to ensure all aspects of Excise Tax compliance related to Brown-Forman Poland documentation and operational processes:

  • Documentation for Intra-Community Supply and Import process
  • Daily Excise Tax calculation and timely payments to Customs Office
  • Monthly reconciliation between LSP and BF Poland
  • Strip stamps application in Excise Tax warehouse and Customs
  • Regular strip stamps physical inventory in Poland warehouse

Reporting:

  • Execute SAP movements in the area of strip stamping management (acquisition, allocation on the bottles, losses etc.)
  • Support the team members in terms of monthly KPI reporting
  • Ensure continuous improvement of logistic processes related to Excise Tax and Bonded Customs Warehouse
  • Backup of Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Manager in operational issues
  • Support team in optimizing global supply chain processes

Manage Inbound and Warehousing activities:

  • Main contact for any issues related to customs clearance, ensuring the smoothness of customs process
  • Responsible for recycling reporting 
  • Selecting obsolete inventory of dry goods and spirits incl. SAP movements to reflect inventory

Ensure smooth cooperation with IT software provider (IDS company) in the area of:

  • Excise Tax warehouse and strip stamping software
  • Intrastat software
  • EMCS system

What You Bring to the Table?

  • University Degree or equivalent in Finance or Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in supply chain logistics
  • Project management experience
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts and with diverse cultures
  • Prior Experience in wine and spirits or luxury FMCG industries
  • Knowledge about Poland excise tax and customs regulations  
  • Experience in International matrix organization
  • Fluent English and Polish
  • Collaborative team player
