Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Logistics Planner to join our excellent and passionate team at Northvolt Poland in Gdansk.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

As a Logistics Planner, you will focus on making sure that the goods manufactured by our Polish assembly plant are logistically planned for, prepared for despatch, shipped out and followed until the handover to the customer. You will pay special attention that the requested delivery dates are met.

Together with colleagues in the Logistics and Supply Chain teams in Sweden and Poland you will play an important role, linking the teams and the two entities. You will partake in securing processes for operational deployment and execution.

You will be located in Gdansk and report to the Logistics Manager of Cells and Battery Systems in Stockholm.

In your job you will:

  • Book and monitor inbound and outbound transportation
  • Plan and organise return and replacement part shipments
  • Align with several stakeholders to ensure timely planning and execution
  • Provide support in inventory management
  • Follow up and control transportation costs of shipments under your responsibility
  • Work in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. carriers, customers) to solve operational deviations, monitor performance and propose improvement plan.

You:

Generally speaking, you have experience in working operationally with shipping, transport, and warehousing. You are familiar with the administrative side of the logistical process, documentation required to dispatch, clear customs, receive and store cargo. You speak both Polish and English fluently.

You also appreciate the importance of adequate packaging to ensure safety and sound condition of the product in transit, as well as the warehouse. Ideally you had the opportunity to work with and have a good understanding on how to use different systems and modules (ERP/WMS/TMS) to support logistical planning and execution.

Experience in shipping and handling of DG and familiarity with the applicable laws and regulations within the transportation and warehousing will be considered a plus.

When joining Northvolt, you would be partly focused on supporting the team in the arena of execution. Together with other Northvolt departments, in need of logistical support you would plan, organize, and oversee shipping activities. Beyond the operational aspect, you would be engaged and support team members in various development projects.

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration.
