Your responsibilities

  • Planning, organization, management and execution of a key Global Business Services project, in area of logistics operations within SSCs in Lodz, Poland and Mumbai, India, Shanghai, China.

  • Responsibility for a Logistics change program including service, cost, transition & project management for the logistics operations whilst being the key link between areas providing guidance, regular reports & highlighting key problem areas to a Program Steering Board

  • Works closely with and orchestrates the three main stakeholders of the Logistics program: local in-country and regional logistics organizations, global process experts supporting global best practice implementation and SSC Logistics Operations to successfully deliver on the objectives of the program

  • Independently develop project plans, monitor and track execution, as well as identify solutions to conflicting project situations, including managing complex issues, by applying supply chain knowledge and advanced inter-personal communication skills

  • Permanent interface with Operational Logistics, global process experts and Logistics Center of Excellence representatives to ensure business continuity and proper operational logistics management

  • Proactive issue management and contingency management, acting as a backup expert and problem solver for complex issues arising during the course of the program with an ability to interface with internal BU supply chain management for high-profile escalation cases

  • Ensure agility and responsiveness to diverse business changes and scenarios for effective utilization of resources, achievement of Logistic metrics targets and delivery of performance measures

  • Applies holistic Risk Management (conducts risk assessment, develops risk mitigation plans, drives and coordinates implementation) with respect to all critical program activities

Our requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics or Science degree

  • Minimum 7 years business exposure to global air freight, sea freight, road freight & courier services in an international logistics setting on a tactical and/or strategic level for a multinational company

  • Good understanding of the global Logistics industry including Sea, Air and Road transport services, knowledge of chemical/dangerous materials would be an advantage

  • Operational background within Logistics distribution and supply chain and the ability to apply this experience within a more strategic role

  • Experience of managing and delivering international change projects within a distribution/logistics environment and exposure to Project Management techniques is highly preferable

  • Ability to lead cross-functional project teams, providing mentoring and guidance in a multi-cultural environment, strong team-working and relationship building skills are critical

  • Excellent communicator with a strong analytical mindset, able to influence across GBS domains and manage project stakeholders' expectations effectively

  • Proven track record of leading transformational projects for Logistics in an international setting

  • In-Depth experience using Project methodologies (e.g. Prince2, PMQ, PMbok)

  • Good understanding of SAP SD (&TM) module & data extraction capabilities for analytical problem solving and ability to leverage SAP BW analytical reporting

  • Ability to spend up to 5 days a month in business travels
