Your responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead logistics processes for BP in Spain and Portugal for the local team in Krakow

  • Coordinate the activities and priorities with the transport logistic management in Spain and Portugal

  • Leading, mentoring and inspiring team members to be compliant with established policies and procedures provided by BP

  • Ensure the team can proactively program and effectively respond to demand variations and fleet adaptation to meet end customer needs optimising the resources

  • Analyse KPI’s and seek for improvements within the department in the medium/long term strategy

  • Oversee special or ongoing process improvement projects and initiatives (IT, business needs, new processes, new system testing etc.)

  • Support and coordinate the team with any needed ad hoc problem solving

  • First focal point during out of working hours and weekends if any emergency arises

  • Limited HR responsibilities – team configuration, coordination of holidays in the team, end to end recruitment of new staff if required, payroll clarification in case of discrepancies

Our requirements

  • Fluent communication in Spanish

  • Portuguese is a plus

  • Communicative English or Polish

  • Higher education – preferably in Logistics, business administration, economics or similar

  • Preferable previous logistics experience

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively lead, mentor and coach a team in meeting the strategy and operational outcomes within a customer focused organisation. Min 2 years’ experience leading teams

  • Interpersonal and communication skills – engagement with different stakeholders, conflict resolution and mediation skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities as well as customer oriented

  • Proactive and self-driven person

  • Highly developed organisational, time management skills with ability to work effectively under pressure, coordinate work teams, coordinate priorities and meet deadlines

  • MS Office skills – with pressure on Excel

  • Basic IT understanding – SAP, Interfaces

STDG – Strassentransport Dispositions GmbH is currently hiring for the position of Iberian Logistics Team Leader for our branch in Krakow. In the position you would be responsible of supervising the local team of 15 people to make sure all services to BP are delivered as requested by the business. STDG main focus is the stock management of final BP customers, scheduling efficiently the road transport together with the contracted transport companies in each country to ensure stock availability and no stock outs. Having a 20+ year experience in supplying fuel to BP sites across Europe.
