EDC Aviation – GE design office – concentrates its efforts on delivering reliable and competitive product such as jet engines, helicopter engines, marine engines, as well as stationary engines.
EDC is a design center – we work on new ideas which are later on implemented into engine. When the design has been approved we overview introduction to manufacturing and take responsibility for the quality of the parts made by different vendors all over the world. Moreover, we take care of test planning and oversee when the engine is already running during the test. Our final responsibilities include monitoring the engine fleet behavior to deliver a reliable product for the global economy.

Lube System and Sump Pressurization Design EngineerNumer ref.: 134131
In this role you will learn and work on the newest aircraft engine technology trends. The work scope covers design of sump pressurization and engine lube system, manufacturing support, assembly and engine tests support toward certification according to FAA/EASA regulations. In the long term perspective also field support during entire engine life cycle.
The role requires engineering problem solving attitude, creativity, accountability, and ability to define goals for self and others. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects related to sump pressurization and engine lubrication system using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
  • Support development engines and component testing
  • Execute test data reduction and analyses
  • Evaluate manufacturing non-conformances against functionality requirements to allow for installation on the engine
  • Support engine certification (certification reports)
  • Develop design optimization to improve cost and weight of selected components
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Participate as an author and presenter in technical and program reviews (for task/project results review and approval)
  • Formulate and implement tasks/project plans, monitor and report status
  • Collaborate with other teams across disciplines and organizations
  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
Required Qualifications
  • This role requires basic experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Component. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
