About the project

We currently have an opening for a Machine Learning Ops engineer with experience in creating and maintaining machine learning models using computer vision/image processing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ML model management tools and practices.

Location: 100% Remote

Work methodology: Scrum

Tools used: Flask, Pandas, PySpark, nltk, gRPC, Jupyter Notebooks, Docker

Your responsibilities

  • Participate in full lifecycle software development for Natural Language Processing and Decision Tree Models, specifically their deployment and management in development, pre-production, and production environments

  • Design, implement and operationally support machine learning model training and deployment infrastructure

  • Design data ingestion pipelines, develop processes and tooling for acquisition and transformation of the data

  • Advise on performance improvement and maturation strategies for models based on feature performance, in-situ model performance and stakeholder feedback

  • Manage deployment of ML models to production and assist in monitoring live site issues

  • Develop and iterate on release pipeline for ML models to drive incremental improvements

  • Collaborate with technology teams across FM Global in the development of new AI/ML capabilities and establish a best-in-class processes for model management and deployment

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience focused on information technology - 2+ years of overall experience

  • Systems engineering, coding and debugging skills in Python

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), especially with AI/ML solutions

  • Understanding of software engineering, including performance tuning, algorithm design, and architecture

  • Experience with large batch processes operations

  • Excellent debugging knowledge of requisite tools

  • Supported full-stack systems design, observability, and live site management

  • Experience with automated testing of machine learning artifacts

  • English B2/C1


  • Experience with compute-at-scale technologies, such as MapReduce, Stream Processing, Spark, Serverless architectures (1-3 years)
