Your responsibilities

  • Develop narratives and build media relations and communications strategies to proactively communicate the company’s vision, our services and core values to make our customers’ lives easier, and the ways in which we’re an enabler for customers, small and medium-sized businesses, content creators, developers and scientists.

  • Own our core reputational pillars, including sustainability, economic and community impact, customer trust and policy communications, applying creative storytelling to bring those narratives to life for our audiences.

  • Work with the business, sustainability, community, and communications teams worldwide to identify storytelling opportunities and develop proactive, multichannel communications campaigns.

  • Develop and review communications content with an obsession for quality and accuracy, identify new and better ways to share content.

  • Provide communications counsel to business executives on both short and long-term challenges and opportunities.

  • Manage administrative tasks inherent to the role and project-related budgets.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.

  • 8+ years of professional experience, preferably in media outlets/publishing companies, communications agencies, or corporate communications/public relations departments.

  • Significant experience working with media and managing different channels.

  • Excellent written and oral Polish and English communications skills.


  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into crisp, user-friendly communications.

  • Adept at planning and prioritizing work to meet tight deadlines.

  • A team player who is able to work with a cross-functional team to achieve common goals, has an open communication style and a diplomatic approach to providing and receiving feedback.

  • Communications experience within a multinational company or large-scale organisation and experience in the field of sustainability and/or retail and technology.

  • Experience developing creative, effective approaches to complex communications challenges.

  • Experience creating KPIs and metrics to measure effectiveness, reach, and engagement.

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to form a cohesive and effective outcome from potentially incongruous facts and individual perspectives.

  • Strategic approach to problem solving; able to anticipate potential reputational issues.

  • Ability to exercise high judgement, particularly in narrow time-frames.

  • Willingness to roll up one’s sleeves and get work done, even when at times it’s outside the defined scope of the job.

  • Keenly focused and able to pay painstaking attention to important details.

  • Experience managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will own communications programs that support Amazon’s corporate reputation in Poland – including media relations, issues management, and proactive storytelling. You are managing topics including sustainability, economic and community impact and policy communications. You will report into the Director of Communications with responsibility for DACH and expansion countries.
