Your responsibilities

  • Manage a research area with a broad scope in size and complexity
  • Scale the research craft through coaching and mentoring teammates
  • Identify high-impact projects, triage requests, and negotiate scope, timing, and deliverables
  • Design and conduct qualitative studies from end to end: planning, executing, analyzing, and reporting. Manage projects and partners throughout the process
  • Prioritize UX research needs across multiple work streams
  • Help define and prioritize the user problems we need to solve, as well as conceptualize and evaluate the solutions by which we solve them
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Business Partners, and Leadership to establish trust and alignment for maximum research influence
  • Effectively communicate research findings to diverse audiences through writing and presentations; represent user research in key product and design discussions

Our requirements

  • 6+ years of experience conducting and/or studying research post-Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years experience directly managing, coaching and developing full-time researchers
  • Experience directly managing across different research methodologies
  • Experience directly conducting primary research (either qualitative or quantitative) end-to-end (i.e., designing, fielding, analyzing and reporting out data)
  • Experience conducting international/cross-cultural research
  • Expertise with a variety of industry-centered qualitative research methods, such as semi-structured interviews, contextual inquiries, usability studies, diary studies, and unmoderated remote studies. Ability to effectively create screening criteria, recruit participants, build rapport, and moderate studies.
  • Experience leading survey-related research (e.g., questionnaires, advanced sampling, and weighting strategies)
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, and the ability to help product teams better understand and advocate for their users
  • Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of social and marketing research methodology
  • Working knowledge of the basics of statistics (descriptives statistics, representativeness)
  • Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English with ability to present projects and status reports to different teams and leadership
