    The opportunity
    We offer you within EY GDS the opportunity to become part of our international and multidisciplinary expert team and to get the chance to work on-site for some of the leading European companies across all sectors. You will undergo a thorough training to prepare you for your tasks, which will be conducted partially in Poland and partially in Germany, in theory & on-the-job.
    Your key responsibilities

    As a Manufacturing Operational Excellence Specialist in EY GDS  you’ll design & implement client programs. An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You’ll also identify potential business opportunities for EY within existing projects, and share these as appropriate. Similarly, you’ll anticipate and identify risks within projects and share any issues with senior members of the team. In line with EY GDS’s commitment to quality, you’ll confirm that work is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer. As an influential member of the team, you’ll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop. Additionally, you’ll contribute to modernize and improve our consulting approach, toolbox and support innovation in our strategic solutions.

    Skills and attributes for success

    • Master degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a similar major
    • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in operational excellence and production systems
    • Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt or Master Black Belt Certificate
    • Very good command of English and fluent command of German
    • Ability and flexibility to travel 80-100% of the working time on international assignments in Europe
    What we look for
    An ideal candidate would have these certifications as an asset: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt. You must be fluent in German language as part of our success in the market is founded on transforming our client’s operations starting on the shop floor.
    You should be able to work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress. Flexibility to adapt to a variety of project types, working hours and work environments and locations would be a key success factor for this role. We would highly value your personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations.
