    Market Risk Analyst – Equity Derivatives # 109399

    Description:

    This position is in the EMEA Equities team within the Market Risk Management function in MLRM.

    • You will be required to support the Equities business area with specific responsibility for EMEA Flow Equity Derivatives
    • You will work with a team of high level risk analysts in regular and ad-hoc analysis of portfolios across all legal entities to identify and track key risks. and bring up potential risk issues to senior management on a timely basis
    • You will liaise with FO on risk taking activities and limit utilization

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Carry out day to day validation of risk information processed by dedicated Risk Data Control Team based in Mumbai, ensuring complete and accurate risk bringing together and reporting for all portfolios covered
    • Analysis of risk on daily/weekly/monthly bases and timely communication of key points to seniors within the team including regular deep dives into portfolios and review of unusual trades and new business
    • Work closely with FO and other CRO teams like VaR methodology, IRC methodology, Scenario teams to produce and improve capital and scenario calculations
    • Conducting pre-trade, deep dives and ad-hoc analyses
    • Ensuring all risks are well collected / represented in the risk systems

    Qualifications:

    • MSc degree in Maths, Finance or other quantitative discipline
    • Excel spreadsheets and systems skills including VBA /other applications
    • SQL
    • Confirmed both written as well as verbal high interpersonal skills
    • Equity Derivatives product knowledge is very beneficial
    • Understanding of VaR and other regulatory risk measurement frameworks will be of high asset
    • You are dedicated and self-reliant
