About the project

Brainly is looking for a Mid/Senior Data Analyst to assess the performance of engagement and conversion marketing activities and make recommendations for optimization. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed team and develop KPIs, reports, attribution methods, and marketing strategies from scratch.

The Conversion Optimization team is a center of excellence for experiment standards and best practices. The team focuses on accelerating the step between introduction and maturity through growth experiments and AB testing. The team strategy and actions have a direct impact on total active subscribers and average revenue per paying user (ARPPU), two out of the three metrics our CEO considers when defining success for Brainly.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing reports across email, push notifications, SMS, on-site, and in-app marketing campaigns

  • Working with customer engagement marketing manager and data engineers to ensure marketers have access to user data needed for segmentation and targeting

  • Determining statistically significant A/B test winners

  • Analyzing conversion funnel

  • Synthesizing data to make recommendations for optimization

  • Analyzing user segments to determine appropriate level of segmentation and customization for different user groups: students, parents, and teachers

Our requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working as a data analyst across channels and platforms: organic and paid, web and mobile app, online and offline, upper funnel and lower funnel channels

  • Experience with AB testing - definition of KPIs and variants, analysis of results

  • Consumer subscription experience (nice to have)

  • Working knowledge of SQL

  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics

  • Experience using a data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, Google Data Studio)

  • Good knowledge of AB testing methodology

  • Drawing conclusions from data and proposing recommendations

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Fluent English (in speaking and writing)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Self-motivation and eagerness to come up with initiatives


  • Experience with raw Google Analytics data processing in BigQuery

  • G Suite

  • Statistical background

  • R/Python knowledge
