Your responsibilities

  • Track and organize material based on production needs

  • Oversee procurement of goods and services, including production planning activity.

  • Translate customer demand into workload of work cells, balance resources towards high utilization and service to customers

  • Develop a schedule to keep machines operational and running efficiently

  • Identify purchasing requirements according to customer orders and production schedules to minimize inventory investments and maximize efficiency

  • Work with specifications, supplier quotations, engineering standards and other information to provide accurate cost proposals

  • Assisting in forecasting to plan future orders

  • Lead the site to achieve a cost savings through driving KPIs, and establishing operational goals.

  • Keeping detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.

  • Secure best possible material by comparing prices and quality

  • Work closely with management across all departments

  • Managing a team to achieve a company objectives

  • Must have experience in CNC Machine shop environment

  • Data management and maintenance within MRP.

Our requirements

  • Academic background in:

  • BS or BA in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Technical, or Engineering;

  • Previous experience in or with:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in leadership role , preferable in manufacturing organization, across a multi-location, global business;

  • Proven experience as materials manager;

  • Experience in Shipping and Receiving.

  • Knowledge/Skills:

  • Working knowledge of MRP system;

  • Proficient in MS Office;

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills;

  • Understanding of forecasting and budgeting;

  • Analytical mind with excellent problem-solving abilities;

  • Strong track record of driving operational improvements to support the business strategy.
