We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to assist with the design and testing of our new range of products. In this role, you will be working closely with the R&D Team to create functional design concepts, test existing designs, and oversee the implementation of development projects. You may also be spearheading the redesign of existing products.

The chosen engineer will collaborate with the design and production teams on various design projects, using in-depth knowledge of the latest design trends and engineering software to lead the way. In addition to being a good communicator, all candidates should be creative thinkers with excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Meeting with marketing, and the R&D Team to discuss product ideas.
- Apply creative thinking, analysis and good judgement to propose innovative solutions to technical problems, which may involve a range of diverse approaches
- Conducting market / technology research and evaluating similar products and their functions.
- Collaborating with the engineering and marketing department on product feasibility.
- Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs.
- Creating design projects and specification sheets.
- Presenting product designs to management and stakeholders.
- Overseeing the engineering of product prototypes.
- Testing prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use, and longevity.
- Resolving product issues.
- Overseeing the production process.
- Develop test prototypes.
- Identify solutions to improve production efficiency.
- Use design software to develop models and drawings of new products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, material since, or relevant field.
- 5+ years' experience in relevant role.
- Advanced analytical and mathematical skills, Six-Sigma GB is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering.
- Marketing and design experience preferred.
- Proficient with computer design software including Creo or SolidWorks.
- Ability and understanding of computational finite element analysis [FEA]
- CFD skills will be an advantage
- Design of plastic components skills will be an advantage
- Proven experience with DFMEA, statistical tolerance calculation and RCA
- Experience with project management.
- Ability to translate design concepts into physical objects.
- Accurate and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Good written and oral communication skills, able to promote ideas by logical argument and capable of presenting the results of a project in a clear and effective
- Self-motivated, with the drive and initiative to carry out projects according to plan, and the ability to quickly adapt in a fast-changing environment manner
- Good English communication level
