Software and control system development and its implementation on embedded systems for mobile robots, e.g. off-the-shelf embedded platforms (16/32bit embedded MCUs, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
Design of associated desktop GUI/CLI applications.
Use and handling of a broad spectrum of sensor types, for measurement of different physical quantities (thermal, position and rotation, force, kinetic energy). Data acquisition with off-the-shelf solutions (LabView, PC with DAQ card) or custom design, general laboratory equipment.
Proposing and execution of trade-offs between available solutions and products.
Performing necessary analyses and simulations, especially in the field of mobile robotics, electronics, or control theory.
Creating project documentation (e.g. reports, proposals, procedures).
Integrating and testing designed systems and instruments.
Participating in project reviews with clients.
University degree in or current student of engineering in a field of robotics, control theory, electronics, or mechatronics.
Experience (student projects are acceptable) in the implementation of embedded control and electronics to robotic systems.
General working knowledge in the fields of mobile robotics, electronics, mechatronics, kinematics, dynamics of mechanical systems and robots, dynamic system simulation.
Design and simulation of analog and digital electronics.
Knowledge of Python.
Knowledge of Robotics Operating System.
Communicative English allowing for direct contact with foreign customers and suppliers, and the preparation of coherent documents.
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of LabView.
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Matlab, Simulink, and Mathcad.
Nice-to-have: Experience in implementation of visual systems (e.g. marker identification, visual odometry).
Nice-to-have: 3D CAD and mechanical design.
Nice-to-have: Version control tools (GIT)
Nice-to-have: C and/or embedded C++ knowledge and familiarity with automatic testing/test frameworks for C/C++ in embedded context is an asset

We are currently looking for a versatile project engineer to carry out technical tasks in the domain of robotics (also mobile robotics), mechatronics, simulation of dynamical systems, and functional tests execution in close relation to mechanisms development for space application. Your main assignments will include software development for embedded systems, data acquisition, documents preparation, building of electronics and mechatronics systems, and carrying out tests.
